Master drawing circles and ellipses inside eight highly randomized 3D perspective planes (such as converging walls, floors, and ceilings) of various widths and tilts. This exercise helps you internalize the geometric relationships of ellipses in perspective space. It is a vital building block for constructing complex 3D forms like cylinders, archways, and wheels.

1Observe the planes: Analyze the perspective grid lines. You are presented with eight highly randomized perspective planes (floors, ceilings, left walls, or right walls) that tilt and converge at unique angles without overlapping or touching.

2Visualize the ellipse inside each quad: Think about how a circle would warp inside that perspective shape. The ellipse must be perfectly tangent to the midpoints of the four edges of the quadrilateral.

3Draft construction lines: Lightly sketch (using soft pen pressure) your diagonals and axes inside the planes to help guide your hand.

4Draw the ellipse: Swing your shoulder and draw a continuous, sweeping curve that touches all four edge-midpoints.

5Try another layout: Click the Randomize (Dice) button to generate eight completely new perspective planes with different placements, widths, and angles.
Tips
- Look at the tangents: The ellipse must touch the center lines of each perspective plane, not the corners!
- Foreshortening compression: Notice how planes tilted flatter vertically result in narrower, flatter ellipses, while upright planes result in taller, rotated ellipses.
- Draw through the shape: Do not stop drawing after one loop; complete 2–3 continuous revolutions to establish a confident, fluid ellipse before lifting your pen.
