Description
Line control and spacing precision are enhanced by this exercise. I'll help you become more adept at judging distance with your eyes and staying consistent with repeated strokes.
A grid that is drawn evenly on a page
![]()
Steps
- Draw a number of horizontal, parallel lines across the paper. To create a grid, add vertical lines that intersect them.
- Try to maintain the same amount of space between lines. The grid should cover the full page.
Advice
- Maintain uniform spacing; use your eyes rather than a ruler.
- For every line, use bold, single strokes.
- If necessary, rotate the page to keep your arms moving comfortably. Don't fix errors; instead, keep going.
